Why #G2WG?

We are five organizations helping local women and girls to succeed in life, school, and work. This #GivingTuesday, for the first time, we are raising our collective voice to increase support for local women and girls.

Why? Because together, we are a stronger and louder chorus for change. Only 7% of philanthropic dollars go toward programs for women and girls. While support is shrinking, the need is growing. Especially at the intersection of race and class. Women and girls of color are more likely to be victims of violence, more likely to be high-school drop outs, and more likely to live in poverty than any other group in our region. But it doesn't have to be this way. On #GivingTuesday, December 1, we joined forces to ask our communities to prioritize giving to women and girls.
